The Economistはインスタもやってます
前回、イラストの話（Weekly edition：表紙づくりのウラ話 - The Economistを読む）をした後、ここにもあった！を見つけました。
これはもう、見つけられない方がヤバいくらいの明らかなコロナ・イラストです。
The EconomistはInstagramもやってて、そっちのイラストはアニメーションでした！
ちなみにこのイラストがついていたThe Economist本体の記事はとっても長いので、全訳は時間的に挫折。代わりに、インスタのコメントをご紹介します↓

Where are the the world's mega-rich sheltering in place?
Scrutinise a flight-tracking website and you'll see an increase in private jets leaving America, in particular, for the South Pacific.
In Fiji, agents report a rise in superyacht charters by billionaires and their families looking for "remote" locations in which to self-isolate.
Since the West's first encounters with the South Pacific it has been romanticised as a place of pure, even erotic, innocence, compared with the disease, pollution and corruption of Western civilisation.

世界の大金持ちが目指すシェルターはどこに？
フライト追跡のウェブサイトをよく見ると、アメリカを出発して南太平洋に向かうプライベートジェット機が特に増加しているのがわかります。
フィジーでは「自主隔離」と称して「遠隔地」にやって来た億万長者やその家族がラグジュアリーなヨットをチャーターするケースが増えているそうです。
西洋が南太平洋に出会ってからずっと、この地は、西洋文明の病気、汚染、腐敗とは無縁の、純粋でエロティックさすら感じさせる無垢の地としてロマンチックに扱われてきました。
